Camberwell Parents in mourning after their son was killed train surfing at Caulfield. January 25
James Wilkinson, 18, was on top of a city-bound train when he came into contact with live wires at Caulfield Station just before 11pm yesterday.
Paramedics were unable to reach him immediately out of fear they could be electrocuted too.
"Unfortunately, he died at the scene," Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman Susannah Wilson said.
The former De La Salle College and Camberwell High School student had been at an 18th birthday before the tragedy. Source: Herald Sun

House prices in some local areas bounce back! January 21
Melbourne's median house price is now $550,000, up $10,000 in the last three months.
Real Estate Institute of Victoria figures show house prices have bounced back in suburbs including Kensington, Blackburn, Wantirna South, Balwyn and Mount Waverley.
The Real Estate Institute of Victoria's Robert Larocca said homeowners would be pleased.
"The ray of hope in it all is that it's not down ... I think that's the most important thing," he said.

Yarra becoming a filthy mess.
January 21
Soaring bacteria levels in the Yarra River made most of the waterway unsafe for swimming for more than half of last year, disturbing new figures show.
The Herald Sun can reveal high levels of E coli put swimmers at risk at scenic picnic spots and even kayakers and rowers were in danger from contaminated water.
Some sections of the Yarra recorded levels of E coli more than 120 times the safe limit.
